What We Collect

When you use HouseCall, we may collect the following information:

  • Photos you upload for analysis
  • Text context you provide about your home issue
  • Property details you enter (address, city, province)
  • Account information if you sign up (name, email — managed by Clerk)
  • Basic usage data (pages visited, actions taken)

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the HouseCall service:

  • Photos and context are sent to Anthropic's AI API to generate your diagnosis
  • Property and diagnosis data is stored so you can access your history
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties
  • We do not use your photos for AI training without explicit consent

Third-Party Services

HouseCall uses the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic — AI analysis of your uploaded photos
  • Clerk — Authentication and account management
  • Google Places API — Local contractor search results
  • Neon / PostgreSQL — Secure database storage

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data Retention

Diagnosis records and property data are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@housecall.help.
